We have a king size bed. Is there any harm with the cable going across the top of the bed?

There would be no harm. Some clinics prefer the user to hold on to the cable. The user will absorb more of the scalar energy, because their ground connection will be improved.

The electrical field of the link cable is 5 volts/meter at one inch distance. The magnetic field is about 1 microtesla, and the radio field is about 0.25 mW/cm2. These values are very low.
