I hooked up my GenX to my scalar device. But when I started the Spooky2 program, it found 100 generators, which I didn’t know which to choose.

1. When you find tons of generators, this means Spooky didn’t find your generator for some reason. Try restarting everything, and see if this brings your generator back. If not, follow the instructions on page 93 of the Aug 2019 Spooky2 User’s Guide. This will bring back your generator.

As for running frequencies on your Scalar, you don’t need to have the Scalar Digitizer hooked up to run frequencies. Just connect Out 1 of your generator to the BNC port of the Scalar. Make sure you run preset designed for the Scalar, they will have (S) in the name, OR use a scalar shell preset.
