Since more than one person being in the field decreases the strength, can you boost the field size and power by using two or more sets of scalar units all tuned?

You can use more than one set of Spooky2 Scalar, but it won’t add to the power. Even if they two units are tuned to the same frequency, they will not be synchronised.
